Our Non-Executive Committee is made up of elected volunteers who are current Stephenson College JCR members. They assist with the running of the JCR and ensure that the best student experience is offered within the College.

The Welfare Officers are responsible for supporting the Senior Welfare Officer in all their role duties. They help with our campaign weeks as well as our welfare drop-in sessions, to ensure welfare support and supplies are easily accessible.

The Assistant Ball Chairs support the Ball Chair with the organisation of Winter and Summer Ball. This entails picking the venue, deciding the theme, setting the date, choosing decorations and much more. They also sit on the JCR’s Ball Committee.

The Book Keeper supports the JCR Treasurer in their work, primarily via offering admin support. Keeping track of purchases, and transactions and monitoring the JCR budget.

The Website Manager works with the Communications Officer to keep the JCR website accessible and up-to-date. The Website Manager attends the Communications Committee meetings.

Assistant Events Directors support the work of the Events Director in planning and undertaking the many events that are put on throughout the year. Within the role, there is scope to focus on particular areas for example, cultural events, chilled events, or more lively events. They also sit on the JCR’s Events Committee.

The LGBTQ+ Rep represents those belonging to the community in Stephenson College. They work closely with the EDI Officer to create a welcoming and inclusive environment, and to ensure that everyone’s voice is heard. They are also a friendly face for anyone to speak to about anything relating to LGBTQ+.

The POC rep is the voice of people of colour in the college. The POC rep runs events and creates opportunities to connect people of colour to each other and make them feel more welcome and integrated in all aspects of college life. They're also a point of contact for support regarding racial issues.

The Gym Manager is responsible for making sure the Gym is fit for its purpose and serving our students well. This involves highlighting opportunities for improvement, overseeing the membership and induction process, as well as promoting usage of the gym amongst our students.

The International Rep helps international students at Stephenson College by helping connect them to the right people, whether that be at the JCR, College clubs, or the University more broadly; whilst also dealing with general issues of relevance to international students where necessary.

The Assistant V&O Officer supports the work of the V&O Officer - be that research new outreach projects, support the students in their volunteering, or take a lead on particular events. They also sit on the JCR’s V&O committee.

The Environmental Officer is responsible for raising awareness of environmental issues within the JCR and College. They will also look at the work of the College and JCR, making suggestions around how to make it more environmentally friendly.

The Disabilities Rep takes on the role of representing students with disabilities within Stephenson College and the JCR. Reporting to the D&I Officer, and sitting on the D&I Committee, the Disabilities Rep will make sure their voices are heard.
